Chiharu Shiota - I to Eye

The Nakanoshima Museum of Art in Osaka, have published the exhibition catalogue I to Eye, in conjunction with the extensive new exhibition of the same name. This catalogue documents the creative journey and the memories of connection, from Shiota's past works to the pieces featured in the current exhibition. It includes reflections on the emotional and sensory experiences of facing oneself during formative times.

With the new exhibition catalogue, Shiota invites viewers into a world of interconnectedness, perception, and the profound bonds that shape human experience. The catalogue features stunning photographs of the works displayed in the exhibition, alongside insightful essays and interviews that reflect on the themes of memory, and the intersections of self and others that are central to Shiota’s practice.

With detailed images of her installations, sculptures, and drawings, I to Eye provides a deeper understanding of Shiota’s creative process and the emotional resonance of her art. The catalogue also includes personal reflections from the artist, offering unique insights into her artistic evolution and the inspiration behind this particular body of work.

Chiharu Shiota - Beyond Consciousness

Aix-en-Provence has published the catalogue Beyond Consciousness on the occasion of the solo exhibition of the same name. It is a beautiful collection of photographs of the solo show including images the installations 'Collecting Feelings', 'The Network', and 'Living Inside' together with insightful texts by Chiharu Shiota and Christel Pélissier-Roy.

Chiharu Shiota - Who am I Tomorrow?

Kunstraum Dornbirn has published the catalogue on the occasion of the exhibition „Who am I Tomorrow?“ , including the preface by Thomas Häusle, an interview with the artist and an insightful text about the exhibition by Sina Wagner as well as extensive images of the installation.
